OUR STORY
As Greenway Farms founders we have had previous experience in running a food business. We still teach farmers and food producers in the developing world about food safety and international trade in agriculture. We strongly believe that everyone should have access to affordable, real, nutritious, and safe food. This is why we adhere to our principles of eliminating the use of GMO products, synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, and educating everyone about the benefits of aquaponics food production.
Before starting our farm, we spent many years working in the processed food and agricultural technologies sector, supporting food producers and farmers around the world. Our work included developing and delivering training programs on food safety, integrated food production systems, and international agricultural trade. Through these efforts, we collaborated with farmers, food processors, and agricultural organizations across international borders to strengthen food safety practices, improve production efficiency, and promote more sustainable and resilient food systems.
These experiences shaped our vision for Greenway Farms. We saw firsthand the importance of producing food that is not only safe and sustainable, but also accessible and affordable. This inspired us to establish a local farm in Maryland where modern and sustainable recirculating agriculture systems can be used to grow fresh fish and vegetables efficiently while conserving water and natural resources.
Today, Greenway Farms brings together global experience and a strong local commitment to produce clean, nutritious food for our community while continuing to share knowledge about responsible and sustainable food production in Maryland and beyond.
